Our Valuation Services practice helps clients fulfil complex valuation exercises for both insurance and/or financial reporting and tax requirements by combining technical expertise, valuation methodologies, industry knowledge, objectivity and independence. The scope of our fixed asset management team stretches from fixed asset (Machinery & Equipment) valuations with different premises to fixed asset management services e.g. asset reconciliation, technical due diligence, asset optimization and sell-or-lease advisory. The type of business our fixed asset management operates in requires a technical background, or interest in (high) tech-firms, with a basic knowledge of corporate business like financial reporting. We are currently looking for an Intern to join our Fixed Asset Services team, based in Amsterdam.
Responsibilities:
Write, plan and manage your graduation thesis (if applicable) Understand/Learn the details of valuations by supporting the team in - and conducting valuations for Risk & Insurance purposes Perform market research, contact dealers and manufactures to verify and support the value conclusions Broaden your professional expertise by on the job learning Assisting in the development of presentations and publications communicated to clients Performance of in-depth research of (capital) markets, industries and competitors as well as analyses of target companies, e.g. in terms of market strength, strategic fit, and business model / business plans Creating valuation- and review models in Excel Requirements:
You study engineering / business administration / economics and is scheduled to graduate (or just recently graduated) as a Master of Science You are characterized by superior analytical and problem solving skills Ideally, you have already gathered practical experience (apprenticeship or internship) Professional and independent attitude since you will be direct point of contact with clients during the exercise Hands-on character with no fear of getting your hands dirty, since we operate in all sorts of heavy asset industries All round team player, personal commitment with a good sense of humour Excellent English (written and spoken) Very familiar with MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) At least available for 32 hours/week In order to be considered for a position at Duff & Phelps, you must formally apply via www.duffandphelps.jobs. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
