70 The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities :
Operates vehicle in a safe manner.
Informs supervisor of any unusual situations or accidents immediately.
Assists riders entering and exiting the vehicle.
Complies with all traffic safety rules and regulations.
Assists the department supervisor with the daily activities of the Transportation department.
Inspects and maintains vehicle daily for cleaning and safety issues.
Maintains accurate logs per required standards.
Follows established schedules, adjusts schedules to meet unanticipated changes, and determines safest and most efficient pickup and delivery routes.
Drives specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons to various destinations; assures that wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment are properly operated and that riders are delivered to appointments in a timely manner.
Complexity of Work :
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Required Credential(s):
o Valid New York State Driver's License required prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Preferred Credential(s):
Chauffeur.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
